A clench-fisted Donald Trump wished America a merry Christmas on Sunday on Twitter.

With a decorated tree in the background, Trump tweeted a picture of himself in a dark suit, white shirt and red tie with his right first raised and closed.

“MERRY CHRISTMAS! President-Elect Donald J. Trump,” he posted at 7:46 a.m. EST.

He included a #MerryChristmas which automatically brought up a Christmas tree emoji.

Trump’s holiday message was retweeted more than 8,400 times in the first 45 minutes.

Of course not everyone warmly received The Donald’s holiday cheer. Brooklyn-based author Brian Abrams was one of the first in social media to respond to Trump with the words “you ruined it.”
