President Trump told British Prime Minister Theresa May that he won’t visit Great Britain until she “can fix” a warm welcome for him, according to a report on Sunday.

Trump, who was invited by May to come to England for a state visit just days after he was inaugurated in January, indicated that he wouldn’t go because of unfavorable coverage in the media, The Sun reported, citing a transcript of a telephone call between the two leaders.

“I haven’t had great coverage out there lately, Theresa,” he told May, according to the newspaper.

“Well, you know what the British press are like,” she replied.

“I still want to come, but I’m in no rush,” Trump said. “So, if you can fix it for me, it would make things a lot easier.”

“When I know I’m going to get a better reception, I’ll come and not before,” he said during the call.

The report did not say when the private conversation took place, but, according to the White House, Trump and May spoke after the June 3 terrorist attack in London.

Trump was expected to visit Britain this summer but that was postponed until October after British officials said they expected his visit to generate wide protests.

Nearly two million people have signed a petition seeking to rescind Trump’s invitation.

British media last week reported that Trump’s visit will happen next year.
