The Trump campaign has welcomed a convicted felon with open arms, saying he’s “the most honest and knowledgeable person in New York politics.”

John Haggerty Jr., 47, who served 10 months in state prison after stealing $750,000 from ex-Mayor Bloomberg, is a Trump volunteer.

“His role is and has been to advise our Trump team on daily political matters as they come up and to try to keep me in line,” said Carl Paladino, the volunteer adviser for Trump’s New York campaign.
