​President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign manager tweeted Tuesday that the president should fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions and end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. ​

​”​Time to fire Sessions​.​ End the Mueller investigation​,” wrote Brad Parscale. “You can’t obstruct something that was phony against you​.​ The IG report gives @realDonaldTrump the truth to end it all.”​

The Department of Justice’s inspector general released a report last week on the FBI and the DOJ’s handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.

It faulted former FBI Director James Comey for being “insurbordinate” by announcing that no charges would be brought against her and for declaring the FBI was reopening the probe just weeks before the 2016 election.

Trump has said the report “totally exonerates me.”

But the inspector general’s report didn’t delve into the investigation into his campaign.
