Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort has been partially shut down because of a coronavirus outbreak.
Both the beach club and the a la carte dining room were shuttered Friday after a number of employees became stricken with the deadly virus. The Palm Beach club’s banquet hall and other events services remain open for now.
“Out of an abundance of caution we have quarantined some of the workers and partially closed a section of the club for a short period of time,” a person familiar with the club’s operation told The Post, confirming the outbreak.
Trump has been living at Mar-a-Lago since leaving the White House in January. His wife Melania Trump and son Barron are there with him. All three have already recovered from coronavirus infections last year.
Members were informed of the outbreak in an email, which was obtained by the local Palm Beach Post.
