The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford entered the Mediterranean Sea on Friday morning as speculation grows about a potential US attack on Iran.
Ship trackers spotted the American vessel as it passed through the Strait of Gilbraltar, though it is still several days from getting into position to target the Islamic Republic.

Trump has sought to use the threat of military force to compel Tehran into a pact committing to abandon its nuclear program — but also vowed retribution if the nation’s leaders killed anti-regime protesters, which they proceeded to do on a massive scale.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi brushed off threats of military strikes on his country, insisting the West already tried — and failed — to crush Iran’s nuclear program.
“They couldn’t kill our nuclear program,” the foreign minister told MS Now’s “Morning Joe.” “This is a technology developed by us … and it cannot be destroyed by bombings.”

He said Iran could be ready to present a proposed nuclear deal to Washington as soon as Sunday.
