Pop artist Nathan Wyburn, 30, of South Wales, said he created the image as a small gesture of appreciation for the workers in the UK’s National Health Service battling the coronavirus pandemic.

“I have friends who are nurses and doctors — they are anxious as the hospitals are rife with coronavirus but they still continue to work,” he said in a statement. “I created the digital collage to show we are all in this together.”

Wyburn had put out a request on Facebook for photos from medical professionals for the project and received a flood of selfies, headshots and other group photos from staff get-togethers.

A video of his collage garnered more than 31,000 views on Twitter.

“I wanted to do something to show how much I appreciate the NHS during this uncertain time,” he said.
