The commanding officer of Staten Island’s bridges for the Port Authority made a DWI bust over the weekend.
PA Capt. Steven Yablonksy spotted Jesus G. Moran, 51, passed out behind the wheel of a 2008 Altima with Pennsylvania plates Saturday around 2 p.m. in front of the National Grid plant at 200 Gulf Avenue, officials said.
Yablonsky, on duty in a marked police car, said the keys were in the ignition and the vehicle was in park as Moran slumped in the driver’s seat.
Moran failed a field sobriety test, and a bottle of alcohol was found in his car. He was administered a blood test, which showed his blood-alcohol level at .197 — more than twice the legal limit, authorities said.
He was arrested and charged with a DWI.
