A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake rattled the coast of Oregon Wednesday afternoon, according to officials.

The quake struck about 180 miles from Coos Bay around 1:15 p.m. local time, the US Geological Survey said.

The National Tsunami Warning Center reported no tsunami has been generated by the quake, the National Weather Service said in a tweet.
