Police in the Czech Republic released intense body camera footage Friday, showing officers inside the Prague university just after the scene of the country’s deadliest mass shooting on Thursday.

Officers are seen moving through the building, guns drawn and yelling, and tending to injured students in classrooms. At one point they break through a door that had been barricaded with chairs and desks.

In one heart-wrenching scene, officers carry an injured victim out of the building, as she can be heard moaning in pain.

At least 14 people died and 25 more were injured, the Czech police chief said at a press conference Thursday evening, revising an earlier toll that reported 15 dead and at least 30 injured.

Local media identified the suspect as David Kozák, 24, a student at the school where he unleashed horror, police said.

Czech police say they got tips about suspected gunman before Prague shooting

By Kaydi Pelletier

Authorities said Thursday night local time they had received tips about the suspected gunman in the deadly mass shooting before he unleashed horror at Charles University.

Police got a tip saying he was en route to Prague from his hometown of Hostouň — just a 30-minute drive from the Czech city — and intended to take his own life, CNN reported.

Cops were aware that the 24-year-old had a lecture at 2 p.m. local time (8 a.m. EST) at the university, and evacuated the building where that class was supposed to be held, Czech police president Martin Vondrášek said in a news conference.

He added that they then got a call about a shooting in a different campus building.

Charles University shooting was 'well thought out' by killer, who was 'excellent' student, police say

By Kaydi Pelletier

Prague police said the gunman who killed 15 people at the university he attended was found dead on a balcony — and they described the suspect in disturbing terms.

The horrific event was "well thought out, a horrible act," Prague Police Chief Martin Vondrasek said Thursday, according to the UK publication the Independent.

Cops also said they believe the 24-year-old killed his father earlier in the day and was planning to kill himself.

He legally owned several guns and was an excellent student, police added.

Czech police say Kozak allegedly murdered his father, shot and killed at least 15 people at Charles University before turned the gun on himself.
