Manhattan US Attorney Preet Bharara said Friday that he has no plans to run for New York governor – but refused to rule out joining Hillary Clinton’s cabinet as the next US attorney general if she becomes president.

“I’ll wait ’til that happens,” Bharara said, referring to Clinton’s potential election as president.

The future of Bharara’s career came up in discussion at the second annual American Justice Summit at John Jay College.

“Are you running for governor?” Yahoo News Deputy Editor Daniel Klaidman asked.

“I am not,” answered the top Manhattan prosecutor, who oversees New York’s Southern District.

Bharara was floated as a potential successor to former Attorney General Eric Holder, who resigned from the post in 2014 after six years.

Holder was replaced by Loretta Lynch, who previously served as US attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
