A Montreal professor has been awarded $1 million for his philosophical work on unifying Canada and the value of forging lasting human relationships.
Charles Taylor of McGill University was chosen as the first annual recipient of The Berggruen Prize for Philosophy, an award for an individual who has made “a positive impact in a world that is increasingly fractured, culturally and politically,” Berggruen Institute chairman Nicolas Berggruen said.
