Who says only cats get extra lives?

A determined puppy was adopted after surviving a euthanasia attempt at an Oklahoma animal shelter.

WQAD8 reports that Rudolph, a Lab-American pit bull mix, found a new home on Saturday after the harrowing ordeal.

The doomed pooch stared fate in the eyes because the shelter was apparently overcrowded.

But he wasn’t about to call it quits.

Moments after the attempted procedure, the vets returned to find Rudolph had cheated death, according to ABC 7 Chicago.

Following the canine miracle, the tenacious hound was transported to Kings Harvest Pet Rescue No Kill Shelter in Davenport, Iowa, where he was immediately put up for adoption.

“He has quite the story…  God had a different plan because he woke up,” the shelter wrote in a Facebook post. “If you’re interested in this adorable young man stop by and meet him.”

A few days and “many wonderful applications” later, the lovable mutt earned a second chance at life.

Rudolph fell in love with his new owner and “the feeling was mutual,” claimed a Facebook post from the shelter.
