Queen Elizabeth II has banned royals from wearing military uniforms at husband Prince Philip’s funeral — to save Prince Harry and Prince Andrew the embarrassment of standing out, according to reports.

While male royals traditionally wear such uniforms at formal events, California resident Harry, 36, was forced to give up his military appointments after stepping down from royal duties.

Meanwhile, his 61-year-old uncle, Andrew, sparked outrage for his plans to wear an admiral’s uniform despite having been booted from royal duties over his ties to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s sex scandal.

The 94-year-old Queen has ruled that royals instead wear morning suits with medals to save her son and grandson — who are both military veterans — from sticking out, the Times of London said.

“It’s the most eloquent solution to the problem,” a military source told the Sun.

Royal sources also told the Telegraph that “it’s looking increasingly likely [that] all the male members of the family will be told to wear suits to avoid any embarrassment on the day.”

Andrew, who was made an honorary vice admiral in the Royal Navy on his 55th birthday, had already asked tailors to start making him a new uniform for his father’s funeral, sources told the Times.

Even though Andrew was not stripped of his military appointments, the plan to promote him to admiral on his 60th birthday last year was deferred while he was still under the shadow of the Epstein scandal.

“Nobody feels it is the right thing to do” for Andrew to wear military garb at the funeral, a source told the paper.

A source close to the duke insisted to the paper that Andrew “has neither wish nor intention to distract” from the day of mourning.

“The Duke of York will do what is appropriate to the circumstances — he remains stepped back from royal duties,” the source said.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment, the reports said.
