A man who was filming three baby raccoons in a Philadelphia alley was bitten by one of the adult critters earlier this month in an animal attack that landed him in the hospital.

Benjamin McCool was recording the raccoons as they scaled a chain-linked fence near 18th and Christian Street and commented “they’re like little acrobats right now.”

As one of the kits fell from his climb, McCool added, “Oop. Not that one,” before an adult raccoon ran towards him and launched an attack.

McCool could be heard screaming as the big bandit bit his legs.

He was treated at a hospital for the wounds, receiving a tetanus shot and a series of rabies vaccines and immunoglobulin shots, he said.

After the attack, McCool told Fox 29 that he’ll avoid the scrappy animals the next time he sees them.

“Yeah, it’s quite the journey,” he said in a follow-up video.
