Senator Rand Paul was heckled by a pair of New Yorkers while having lunch in California. The Kentucky Republican was in the Golden State for a book tour.

Video of the incident was uploaded to Twitter Friday by Paul’s deputy chief of staff and lunch partner Sergio Gor.

“You just ran into two people from New York, kiddo, and we’re not putting up with your Republican bulls–t,” says an aggrieved woman shortly after flipping off the camera, which then pans to a second person who appears to have gone up to the senator unprompted.

“You’re public officials and I have a right to speak to you,” the man can be heard saying.

Video of the incident went viral over the weekend after Gor tweeted it out.

“The left blames incivility on @realDonaldTrump. Watch this video and decide who the rude ones are,” Paul said on Twitter — making sure to tag the president.

Paul was chiefly responsible for holding up an extension of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund back in July.
