Maybe it was big payback.

A rapper named Big Paybacc was shot dead in the middle of lunch by a silent, lone gunman in Palmdale, Calif., on Thursday, authorities said.

The hit happened inside a crowded McDonald’s — clearly over a beef, his pals believe.

“There was no altercation,” one pal told a local CBS reporter. “This guy just walked in through one door, shot him and left out the other door,” he said.

“So it looked like something personal.”

Big Paybacc — real name Habeeb Ameer Zekajj — is known for YouTube videos including the popular 2011 number “Gangsta Luv.”

“Gangstas do what they want to,” he raps. “Suckers do what they can.”

Girlfriend Jessica Jefferson called the 38-year-old father of three “a good rapper.”

“He really is a good solid person,” she added, noting that some 15 other people, including children, were in the McDonald’s at the time of the shooting.

“It’s inhumane,” Jefferson told CBS.
