The remains of four cremated bodies were found in the Detroit funeral home where the 11 infant corpses were found last week, a report said.
The four bodies were found in the basement of Cantrell Funeral Home on Monday — just days after a state regulatory agency found the tiny human remains in a cardboard box and casket hidden above a first-floor ceiling, according to The Detroit News.
“My construction workers found the remains in the basement,” the building’s new owner, Naveed Syed, told the paper.
“They were all in individual containers with the person’s name on the container.”
Syed said the remains dated back to 1996.
Detroit police have launched a criminal investigation into the funeral home.
The medical examiner’s office is trying to identify the 11 infant bodies.
