Republican incumbent Jim Jordan has been re-elected to a seventh term in Ohio’s 4th Congressional District.
The 54-year-old beat out Democratic candidate Janet Garrett.
His victory comes just months after five former wrestlers from Ohio State came forward and accused him of turning a blind eye to sexual misconduct allegations made against a team doctor, who was at the school when Jordan was the assistant wrestling coach there.
President Trump later came to his defense — saying “I believe him” — after Jordan denied any wrongdoing.
“Jim Jordan is one of the most outstanding people I’ve met since I’ve been in Washington,” Trump told reporters back in July. “I believe him 100 percent. No question in my mind.”
