The ex-husband of US Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has been arrested on assault charges, three days after the former couple’s altercation at a restaurant.
Jayson Boebert was charged Tuesday with third-degree assault, prohibited use of weapons, obstructing a peace officer, harassment, disorderly conduct and third-degree trespassing, according to Garfield County jail records cited by the Daily Beast.
His arrest follows the Saturday evening incident at the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt, where he called the cops on the firebrand Republican and claimed she had socked him in the face in a case of “domestic violence.”
It was unclear whether the charges were connected to Saturday’s incident in her district.
All of the charges are misdemeanors, except for trespassing, which is classified as a petty offense — and carries up to 10 days in the slammer, a fine, or both, the Daily Beast reported.
Jayson was released on $2,500 bail, a jail official told the outlet, which said the suspect didn’t respond to a request for comment.

On Sunday, she denied punching Jayson and said she would be exploring her legal options.
“This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving,” Lauren said in a statement obtained by The Post.
The two split over irreconcilable differences. ZUMAPRESS.com“I didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options,” she added.
Her aide told the Daily Beast that Jayson made an “aggressive move” toward her and she “put her hand in his face, put her hand on his nose” to repel him.
But another description alleged that she managed to land two punches to Jayson’s nose, prompting him to call police.

“I don’t want nothing to happen. Her and I were working through a difficult conversation,” he reportedly said.
The couple married in the mid-2000s, but divorced in 2023 amid “irreconcilable differences.”
“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband,” Boebert said at the time. “I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children.”

Jayson has previously pleaded guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure over his actions at a Colorado bowling alley in 2004, involving two women when he was 24.
The mom of four also has a track record of minor arrests, including for disorderly conduct and missing court summonses.
Boebert has denied socking her ex, who was charged Tuesday with assault and criminal mischief, among other counts. RepBoebert/FacebookShe also allegedly got into a bathroom shouting match with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) last year.
And she made headlines in September when she got handsy with her then-beau, Quinn Gallagher, co-owner of an Aspen bar, while they attended a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice.”
Surveillance footage captured her blowing a plume of vape smoke into the air and appearing to grope Gallagher’s crotch. He also was spotted fondling the rabble-rouser’s breasts.
The two were kicked out of the theater for causing a disruption and later parted ways — and she subsequently suggested the two weren’t meant for each other because Gallagher was a Democrat.
