Democratic congressional candidate Conor Lamb said on Wednesday that his GOP opponent Rick Saccone has conceded the narrow special election held in western Pennsylvania last week.

“Just got off the phone with my opponent, @RickSaccone4PA, who congratulated me & graciously conceded last Tuesday’s election,” Lamb tweeted.

“I congratulate Mr. Saccone for a close, hard-fought race & wish him the best.”

Lamb added, “Ready to be sworn in & get to work for the people of #PA18.”

Lamb’s lead in last Tuesday’s election was just 758 votes, based on totals reported Wednesday by the four counties in the state’s 18th Congressional District.
