The bodies of legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele have finally been released to their grieving loved ones almost a week after the couple was found slaughtered in their upscale Brentwood home — but the nightmare is far from over.
Official autopsy results from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed what investigators already feared: both died from multiple sharp force injuries in what has been ruled a double homicide.

Typically, in Judaism, funerals are held as soon as possible–ideally one day after the date of death. Shiva, a seven-day period of mourning, follows immediately after where the family stays home and visitors bring food.
The couple’s son Nick Reiner is currently behind bars, charged with two counts of murder for allegedly butchering his parents.
