President Trump’s longtime associate Roger Stone said Thursday that he will voluntarily appear before the House Intelligence Committee in a closed-door hearing on Sept, 26, NBC News reported.

But Stone complained that he wanted a public hearing rather than the closed-door sitdown “in the interest of full transparency.”

He said he had not heard from the FBI or special counsel Robert Mueller, who are conducting an investigation into Russian meddling in the US election and potential ties to the Trump campaign.

Stone told the network that “there is no evidence whatsoever of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign” and that the feds “need to stop wasting the taxpayers money.”

Stone is a longtime political trickster with his own ties to Russia.

He had been scheduled to testify before the committee in July but lawmakers delayed his appearance.

Investigators plan to ask him about his communications during the campaign with Moscow-linked hackers and WikiLeaks, which had published emails hacked from Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.
