Prince William, along with his wife, Kate, and baby Prince George, touched down at Sydney Airport in Australia on Wednesday, beginning the second leg of their holiday Down Under.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived on a Royal Australian Air Force flight from Wellington for a 10-day tour following their visit to New Zealand.

Prince George was carried down the steps by his mom, who was wearing a yellow Roksanda Ilincic shift dress, the color worn by Australia’s rugby and football teams, The Telegraph reported.

But the royals’ arrival was marred somewhat by the resignation of the premier of New South Wales, who was supposed to co-host an official reception for William and Kate at the Sydney Opera House.

Barry O’Farrell resigned Tuesday morning after he was caught lying to corruption investigators about receiving a bottle of wine worth about $2,690 as a gift.

Prince George didn’t seem concerned, looking happy in a white, one-piece outfit embroidered with blue sailboats.

He waved his arms and kicked his legs as he was handed to the Duke so his mum could greet a line of waiting officials, including Tony Abbott, the prime minister, Sir Peter Cosgrove, the governor general, and Marie Bashir, the governor of New South Wales.

Joscelyn Sweeney, 22, who has Down syndrome, welcomed the Duchess with a bouquet of Australian wildflowers.

She was chosen to present the bouquet after her mother wrote to the Duke and Duchess to tell them what a positive influence on her life they had been, the paper reported.

Thousands of other people were also waiting at the Opera House to greet the royals.

While in Australia, they will visit the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, meet some local wildlife at the city’s harborside zoo, and travel to Uluru, the iconic Outback sandstone monolith that’s also known as Ayers Rock.
