A Russian model who’s graced the pages of Vogue posted images of her bruised and battered face, injuries she allegedly suffered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend — in the hopes of raising awareness about domestic violence.
Kira Dice, who’s appeared in ads for Marc Jacobs and has walked the Russian Fashion Week runway, said the horrific incident of domestic abuse allegedly occurred as she was about to leave her Moscow apartment for a modeling job in China a couple of months ago.
“He threw a chair at me then brutally beat me up,” Dice wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday about her ex. “He tore off my underpants trying to rape my battered body with his fingers. After that, he stuffed a banknote in my mouth forcing me to chew it.”
“He smashed furniture in my apartment shouting at me and calling me a whore,” she added, according to a translation of her post from Russian.
It was only after she lost consciousness that her ex called an ambulance, she wrote.
The police arrived and she was taken to a hospital, where she was diagnosed with a concussion and severe bruising, Dice said.
Dice, who’s modeled for Gucci and Keds, took pictures of her beat-up face in the hospital and included them in her post.
She said she continued to date her partner for two months after he convinced her not to file a report with the police, but split up with him last week.
“I ask you not to be indifferent to domestic violence,” she implored her followers in a post Monday.
