Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was released from the hospital Friday after being admitted Thursday for fracturing three ribs in a fall, the Supreme Court said.
The 85-year-old Ginsburg is “doing well” and was working from home, Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said.
Ginsburg took a fall in her office at the court Wednesday evening and was taken to George Washington University Hospital in Washington on Thursday for treatment.
In 2012, Ginsburg, who was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1993, broke two ribs in a fall.
She underwent colon cancer surgery in 1999, received treatment for early stages of pancreatic cancer in 2009, and had a stent placed in a blocked coronary artery in 2009.
