Reports of gunfire and booby traps forced the evacuation of several homes in a Sacramento suburb Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
The evacuations occurred on Rancho Cordova’s Copper Sunset Way, after one caller reported hearing gunfire and another claimed to have fired the shots and set the traps, the sheriff’s department confirmed to the California Post.
Rancho Cordova’s Sunset Way neighborhood was evacuated after reports of gunfire. Google MapsCops responded to the “suspicious circumstances” and were on the scene determining “what kind of crime, if any,” may have occurred, a spokesperson for the the Rancho Cordova Police said.
