Savannah Guthrie spoke glowingly about her missing mother, saying how the matriarch taught her how to be strong yet also deal with tragedy after her father died while she was growing up.

“I remember my mom saying in those early days when daddy died, ‘You have to get up and decide and do. Just decide and do,’” Guthrie told her “Today” show co-host and close pal Hoda Kotb in her first interview since her mother was kidnapped 54 days ago.

“I’m trying to get up and decide and do every day. I’ve felt terrible grief — and felt unfathomable love and comfort,” she continued.
“The goodness and kindness of God is remarkable and in equal measure to my sorrow.”
Guthrie said the most devastating part for her and her family is not knowing what happened to her 84-year-old mother, who police believe was abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home in the early morning hours of Feb. 1.

“I did hear God speak to me,” said Guthrie, who described her mom as a woman of faith.
“I heard a voice and it said, ‘You do know where she is. She’s with me. She’s with me,’” Guthrie revealed.
“So whether she’s on this earth still, or whether she’s in heaven, I know where she is, I know who she’s with. But we need to know.”
Chilling security footage recovered from Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera captured a masked man armed with a gun creeping on her front doorstep the night police believe she was kidnapped.
Blood spatter found at the scene was determined to be from Nancy Guthrie — but no suspects have been identified despite thousands of tips and a widespread search involving the FBI.
The family received multiple largely bogus ransom notes — but Guthrie believes at least two are real.
