This seal is catching a free ride to dinner — surfing on the back of a whale.

The aquatic mammals teamed up for an impromptu fishing expedition off the coast of Australia this week, according to a photographer who captured the wild ride.

“We’d seen some amazing whales coming out of the water,” photographer Robyn Malcom told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“And it was when I went back through the photos that I realized I had actually captured the seal on top of the whale.”

The surfing seal was hitchhiking on its buddy’s back in hopes of snagging some leftovers from a fish-feeding frenzy that the humpback whale and its pals had created.

Malcom brushed off suggestions the image was fake. “I’m positive, because I don’t know how to use Photoshop,” she said.
