Sean “Diddy” Combs is in “relatively good” spirits despite his high-profile sex-trafficking scandal, his lawyers said — while downplaying the federal raid that uncovered 1,000 bottles of lube and baby oil in the rapper’s home.

“I don’t think it was 1,000. I think it was a lot. I mean, there is a Costco right down the street. I think Americans buy in bulk, as we know,” attorney Marc Agnifilo told The Post outside Brooklyn’s notorious Metropolitan Detention Center Saturday.

“And you know these are consensual adults doing what consensual adults do, you know, we can’t get so puritanical in this country to think that somehow sex is a bad thing because if it was there would be no more people.”

Agniflio spent the entire seven-hour visiting block working with Combs, 54, to build his defense case — which the lawyer said was growing strong enough to win back the music mogul’s freedom.

Combs was ordered behind bars after he was twice denied bail after he was arrested earlier this week on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, was reportedly put on suicide watch — but Agniflio emphasized Combs was feeling hopeful.

“He’s just laser-focused, he’s engaged, he’s helpful, he’s confident. We’re going through our defense as we do every day and his spirits are relatively good,” Agnfilio said, adding that the prosecution’s assertion that additional witnesses have come forward in recent days has not deterred their stamina.

Agniflio did not deny that federal agents discovered 1,000 bottles of lubricant and three AR-15s during a March raid on Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles — but claimed it was not as nefarious as it seemed.

Several witnesses told The Post their horror stories about participating in Combs’ now-notorious “freak-off” parties, which prosecutors said involved drugged-up women who were forced to engage in prolonged and derogatory sex acts with big-name celebrities.

One woman said she was “tricked” into returning to Combs’ hotel room in the early 2000s — while he was dating Jennifer Lopez — before being forcibly removed.

“I think I know what the heart of the case is, and I’ve said what I thought it was in court, and we think we have defenses to all of the allegations, which is why I think his spirits are as good as they are,” he continued.

The team is still mulling over whether it will appeal the judge’s decision to deny bail, but anticipates having a decision by Tuesday.

Combs — facing a minimum of 15 years in prison — pleaded not guilty to the charges in federal court in Lower Manhattan Tuesday.
