A Seattle protester has been hospitalized after suffering a medical episode while under arrest, according to reports.

The 30-year-old was being arrested just before 10 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of causing property damage near the East Precinct in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, news station KIRO reported.

Around the same time, bystanders posted on social media about a person on the ground who didn’t appear to be moving, the Seattle Times reported.

It’s not clear whether the arrest caused the protester’s medical issue, nor what the issue is.

The person received aid at the scene and was brought to Harborview Medical Center, where they were in critical condition early Thursday, KIRO reported. By Thursday morning, the protester’s condition had improved to serious.

The Seattle Police Department’s Force Investigation Team said it is reviewing the incident.
