Senate passes Sandy aid
WASHINGTON — The Senate yesterday OK’d $50.5 billion in Hurricane Sandy disaster relief that awaits President Obama’s signature.
The legislation passed with a vote of 62 to 36. It will provide $16 billion in Community Development Block Grants to storm-hit states to restore hundreds of thousands of battered homes.
