A shark attacked a 20-year-old scuba diver off Australia’s Great Barrier Reef early Saturday afternoon, injuring his leg so badly that he bled to death.

Rescuers tried to desperately to save the unidentified man, but he died at the scene, the Daily Mirror reported.

The attack comes just three months after a shark killed Zachary Robba, 23, in nearby waters.

Australia is attributing four deaths so far this year to shark attacks.
