MELBOURNE, Fla. — Police say a second person has died after a shooting at a mall in central Florida.
Melbourne Police have confirmed that the shooting Saturday morning at Melbourne Square Mall has left two people dead and one injured from a gunshot wound.
Police say the injured victim is hospitalized in stable condition and cooperating with investigators.
After responding to reports around 9:30 a.m. of multiple shots fired inside the mall, police tweeted that the “shooter is contained.”
Cmdr. Vince Pryce previously said it was not immediately clear whether the suspect was injured or killed in the shooting.
The mall was evacuated and police said no other threats were located after a search of the building store by store.
