A sicko dressed in a cartoonish Pink Panther-like costume reportedly hunted down local Virginia school kids in broad daylight – and nearly snatched up a little girl.
The pink predator ominously trailed a group of terrified youngsters fresh off the school bus in Fredericksburg around 4:30 p.m. on May 14, when horrifying video showed him prowling along the grassy roadside near the Lafayette Boulevard corridor.

“This man stared down my son and one of the older neighbors from across the road. That’s when this picture was snapped,” a local resident posted on Facebook.

A witness wrote that they saw the attempted abduction, but they couldn’t stop their car in time.
The Fredericksburg Police Department said in a statement that the suspect was reported to be “following children” and “residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities immediately.”
The creep donned a bizarre pink costume, plus a red and black plaid shirt drapped over it and cowboy boots, while a small bag dangled from his neck.
Commenters on Facebook immediately pointed to the peculiar attire, “Have to keep note of those boots.”
“Those are more than likely what the guy wears daily and would be recognizable.”
Others worried how much harder it’ll be to find the creep when he takes off the concealing costume.
“I’m actually worried about him taking off the costume. At least he’s easy to spot in that thing. It’s going to get real hot next week,” one user posted.
“He might dump the costume and do creepy stuff in his regular human skin while everyone is looking for the Pink Panther. He needs to be caught real quick.”
The Post reached out to the Federicksburg Public School District and is awaiting comment.
