The single mom viciously pummeled in a violent Cincinnati street brawl last month slammed the city’s top cop for calling the beatdown an “incident” – and she claimed neither the police chief nor the mayor have apologized for the violence that unfolded on their watch.
The woman, publicly referred to as Holly, said it’s “insulting” that embattled Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge characterized the July 26 melee as an “incident” during a press conference two days later, where she also praised cops for keeping the city safe.
“It definitely didn’t seem like an incident, it seemed like a beatdown attack,” Holly told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham during an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle” Thursday night.
Holly, a female victim who was attacked in Cincinnati, speaks out to Laura Ingraham Fox News“I look at it as attempted murder, there’s no other way to describe it. I think an incident is insulting to be honest and I have yet to receive a phone call from her or the mayor just apologizing for what happened and for letting these thugs and criminals run the streets when they should have been in jail to begin with.”
The violent attack left Holly with a gruesome black eye, busted lip, bruises covering her face and neck. She is now suffering from brain trauma and a concussion, in addition to severe bruising throughout her face and body.
Holly, who was leaving a birthday gathering when the fight broke out and later stepped in to help another badly beaten victim when she was sucker-punched, said responding officers never asked for her name or statement, even after seeing her bloodied and battered face.
“They got a few of the others’ names because the victims were insisting that they take down their information but they didn’t even ask my name,” Holly said, adding that the “nonchalant” officers also failed to call for backup or an ambulance to treat those severely wounded.
“It was a disgrace, an absolute disgrace. It was so offensive on so many levels the way we were treated.”
Holly took umbrage with the city’s police chief calling the attack an “incident.” via Bernie MorenoViral footage of the street brawl showed a group of mostly black men surrounding Holly and an unidentified man, both of whom are white.
The two victims were punched and stomped on as they cowered on the ground. Holly was later sucker-punched and knocked-out cold, with blood pouring from her mouth as she lay defenseless in the city street after trying to intervene in the rumble.
Montianez Merriweather, 34, Jermaine Matthews, 39, Aisha Devaughn, 25, Dominique Kittle, 37, and bystander Dekyra Vernon, 24 – believed to be the woman who clobbered Holly in the back of the head before a man slugged her directly in the face – are among the alleged sluggers arrested.
Cincinnati police chief Terri Theetge also praised local cops for keeping the city safe. FOX 19They are all charged with felonious assault, assault and aggravated riot.
Another person has been charged with the brutal ambush and is being tracked down by a fugitive task force. Authorities said they will not release their identities until they are captured.
While a motive for the attack remains unclear, a new video surfaced last weekend showing the victims hurling racial slurs at their attackers moments before the barbaric beatdown erupted.

The family of Merriweather also claimed he was called racial slurs and spat on in the lead up to the brawl – but Holly denied those claims to Ingraham, insisting instead that their attackers taunted the victims with bigoted remarks.
“When we came outside there were some racist comments, I guess some of the people we were with were from the country of Russia and there were a bunch of Russian comments and some people saying that they wanted to beat up the Russians,” the mom of three said.
The single mother claims she has yet to receive a call from the Cincinnati Police Chief or Mayor following the brawl. X“I don’t even know how they knew where they were from. And then there were some comments about how white people shouldn’t be out here or we’re going to go night-night… Definitely it was a little scary and then they started circling.”
Race has been a focus of the vicious street fight, with the five arrested individuals – all black – being accused of racism against the white victims.
Merriweather’s family has also claimed that the rampage has only garnered so much attention and outrage because the victim is a white woman.
“If it was an African American woman who got knocked out … we wouldn’t have been going through all this,” said an unidentified loved one of Merriweather, whom cops accused of coordinating the “ambush” attack, to WLWT last week.
While Holly described the brawl as a “racial hate beatdown,” she doesn’t want the horrific situation to pit black and white people against each other.
“I don’t want this to become a black versus white situation, I don’t want the white people to start saying bad things about black people or it become a rioting issue,” Holly pressed.
“It’s unfortunate that these people made it into hate but I don’t want retaliation where there’s white versus black going on out there.”
