Six Saudi nationals were taken into custody for questioning Friday night in the deadly shooting at the Naval Air Station base in Pensacola, Florida, Fox News reported.

The six were being detained near the base where the gunman, identified in multiple reports as Royal Saudi Air Force 2nd Lt. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, a student at the base, opened fire with a handgun inside a classroom on Friday morning, killing three and injuring eight.

Alshamrani was shot dead by arriving sheriff’s deputies.

Three of those being questioned had been seen filming the entire shooting incident, the New York Times reported, citing an unnamed investigation source.

It is unknown what connection the six may have had with Alshamrani or the base.
