A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he and five other high school students were shot in an Aurora, Colorado, park on Monday, police said.

There are “multiple suspects” responsible for shooting the Aurora Central High School students, all between 14 and 18 years old, in nearby Nome Park at 12:45 p.m, according to cops.

The shooting victims include two girls aged 15 and 16, and four boys between 14 and 18 years-old.

School safety officers were credited for saving the life of the 16-year-old boy undergoing surgery by rushing to the park and applying tourniquets to stem his bleeding.

The shooters have so far evaded capture and an entire 400-yard stretch of the park between East 11th Avenue and East 13th Avenue has become a massive crime scene where different caliber bullet shells were found.

Police believe it was a drive-by shooting, but there may have been more gunmen on foot, according to Aurora Police Chief Vanessa Wilson.

“There is a violence crisis across the nation right now and we all need to pay attention,” Wilson said. “Enough is enough. This is a public health crisis. We need to get through to our kids and figure out a way to stop this.”

A gang-related shooting at the same park in 2019 saw teen Dangelo Domena sentenced to 18 years in state prison for attempted first-degree murder.
