WASHINGTON — Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk is donating his first skateboard to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

Skateboarding pioneers including Hawk, Rodney Mullen, Cindy Whitehead and others are gathering at the museum for a festival celebrating the culture of skateboarding.
