A California stripper, accused of decapitating her boyfriend and leaving his headless body inside her home, has been extradited from Mexico.
Alyssa Marie Lira, 23, is back in Southern California after her capture in Mexico — nearly five months after she allegedly decapitated 55-year-old Enrique Gonzalez-Carbajal.

Homicide detectives had identified Lira as their main suspect and learned she had fled to Mexico.
The couple had been dating for about two months and met while she was working as an exotic dancer at a local strip club, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Local police worked with the FBI and Mexican officials to locate and apprehend the 23-year-old.

Lira is seen in a mug shot from a prior arrest in 2021 felony possession of a firearm and multiple charges of controlled substance for sale.

Lira faces one count of murder with a felony enhancement for using a weapon.
If convicted on all counts, she could serve a maximum sentence of 26 years to life.
She’s scheduled to be arraigned on February 13 and is currently being held at the Orange County Jail without bail.
“Nothing — not time, not distance nor foreign borders — will thwart our pursuit of justice, and Orange County law enforcement will continue to go to the very ends of the Earth to carry out our mission and hold criminals accountable for the heinous acts they commit,” DA Todd Spitzer said in a statement.
“This investigation and prosecution are a testament to the tenacity and dedication of the Anaheim Police Department, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, and our federal and international partners to identify a cold-blooded killer, track her down in a foreign country, and bring her back to the United States to face the full weight of the law,” Spitzer said.
