Suicides have nearly tripled among active military members in special ops units, CNN reported.

The Special Operations Command logged 22 suicides in 2018, up from eight the previous year.

Military officials said they’re developing training to spot warning signs.

“We continue to leverage every resource available to ensure our people are mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically prepared for the demanding tasks of war,” head of the command Gen. Tony Thomas told CNN.

The Florida-based command includes some of the country’s most highly trained warriors, including SEAL Team Six.
