A Stanford University graduate student was found dead in an apparent suicide at a campus laboratory, according to reports.

The male engineering student — who hasn’t been identified — was discovered unresponsive around 10 a.m. Monday at the top-tier university’s Paul G. Allen building, according to Mercury News.

School of Engineering Dean Jennifer Widom confirmed the death and urged students to “please take care of yourselves and those around you.”

“I know I speak for all of us here at Stanford in offering our sympathies to the individual’s family, loved ones, fellow students and friends,” Widom said in a statement.

Authorities didn’t release information about the circumstances surrounding the suspected suicide.

The Santa Clara Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to confirm the cause of death, the Stanford Daily reported.
