A Star Wars fan found out the hard way why being around Jar Jar Binks is not a good idea.
UK resident Marcus Reid, 29, who owns a 7-foot-tall figure of the much-despised character from the space saga, got into a fight with his girlfriend’s drunken stepfather, Neil Govier, 36, the Sun reported.
“Mr. Reid put Mr. Govier in a headlock. As they wrestled close to the Star Wars character Mr. Govier grabbed its head and ripped it off,” prosecutor Richard Oakley told a court.
“He then pulled off its left arm and swung it as a weapon,” he added.
Reid suffered suspected broken ribs after being struck with Jar Jar Binks’ arm in October in Charmouth, Dorset, according to the news outlet.
“I’ve got it fixed but it has cost hundreds,” said Reid, whose figure cost £285 (about $390).

Govier, who admitted to the attack, was fined £585 (about $800) and ordered to pay about the same amount in compensation, the Sun reported.
Binks, known for his infamous “Meesa going home” catchphrase, was voted the most annoying character in “Star Wars.”
