The force was too much for online ticket sellers Monday night.
Fans of the upcoming ”Star Wars: The Force Awakens” waited in light-years-long virtual lines after crashing sites selling tickets for the upcoming flick.
“Star Wars” lovers flooded websites of Fandango, AMC Theatres, Alamo Drafthouse and other providers, grinding the ticket-selling process to a halt.
Tickets went on sale shortly after a 2½-minute trailer aired at halftime of the “Monday Night Football” game between the Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.
The Lucasfilm project, directed by J.J. Abrams, doesn’t hit screens for another two months.
An unprecedented movie-ticket scalper market also popped up overnight, with opening night tickets going for hundreds of dollars.
