Steve Dunleavy spent so much time in one Midtown tavern that the owner built a shrine in his honor.

Des O’Brien installed the custom-built, wooden wall hanging with a frosted-glass portrait of the hard-drinking journalist inside Langan’s Bar & Restaurant.

Dunleavy was a regular at the Irish pub across West 47th Street from the office tower where The Post’s offices are located, and routinely crafted and dictated his columns from there.

O’Brien gave the memento to the paper when Langan’s closed in January 2018, and it now proudly hangs near the entrance to the newsroom.
