The Texas Tech student who allegedly shot and killed a police officer has confessed to the crime — telling officers he “f–ked up.”

Hollis Daniels, 19, was apprehended on campus Monday night shortly after fatally shooting Officer Floyd East Jr. inside the Texas Tech Police Department, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

“I f–ked up,” the college freshman told detectives, adding that he “did something illogical.”

Daniels had been taken to the station Monday night after officers found drugs in his dorm room.

Once inside, the suspect allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the officer in the head. He was briefly on the lam before being captured.

He has been charged with murder.
