The suspect accused of killing a co-worker and wounding five others at a central Ohio cosmetics warehouse was arrested Wednesday after a 12-hour manhunt, police said.

Bruce Reginald Foster III, 28, was taken into custody by US Marshals at a home in Columbus around 10:30 a.m., about 12 hours after the “targeted” shooting at the New Albany warehouse some 15 miles away, police said.

Marshals had a warrant, though it was unclear how they knew he would be at the property or how Foster was connected to the address.

Foster worked at the warehouse and was on the clock for several hours before the shooting took place, NBC Columbus reported.

Managers and employees told authorities that “nobody here noticed any type of confrontation or anything that might have triggered this,” New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones told reporters.

Gunfire erupted around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday inside the massive KDC/One cosmetics building in what is believed to be a “targeted type of attack” as around 150 workers were inside, Jones said.

One victim, who has not been identified, was declared dead at the scene while five others were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions.

A handgun was recovered from inside the facility.

Foster was dropped off at the warehouse by a person not believed to be involved in the shooting, police said.

Police announced soon after the carnage that they knew where Foster was likely located and assured the public there was no further threat.

Authorities did not say who lived in the home at 7th Avenue and High Street where he was found and arrested.

“This has been a very tragic situation,” Jones said. “Our thoughts go out to the victims, their families, and everybody that works at this facility. This is something that we hoped that would never happen in our community. But we prepare for it.”
