The alleged school shooter in Florida pulled a fire alarm at the Parkland high school to create panic and chaos before perpetrating his bloody massacre, a report said.

The suspect — identified as 19-year-old former student Nikolas Cruz — set off the alarm at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday afternoon before he started the mass shooting spree, according to CBS News.

Cruz fired off a series of gunshots that left multiple people dead, according to reports.

He was later taken into custody near the campus without incident.

Students at the school said Cruz was troubled and spoke about having guns in the past.
