Detectives in Houston are searching for a suspect who shot two men for catcalling his female companion at a gas station, according to reports.
The unidentified suspect and a woman believed to be his girlfriend sped off in a black Dodge Charger after the Wednesday morning shooting at a Chevron gas station in north Houston, KPRC reports.
Police told the station that the couple was walking into a nearby convenience store when two other men began commenting on the woman’s appearance. That riled her companion, who argued with the men before pulling out a gun and squeezing off at least six shots.
He then opened fire when the two men whistled at the woman and catcalled her, a responding officer to the scene told the Houston Chronicle.
Both men were shot in the legs and were taken to a nearby hospital. They are both expected to survive, KPRC reports.
The couple got into their car and took off, police said.
