Police in Texas have issued an arrest warrant for a man who allegedly fled to Mexico in a stolen car that belonged to a slain New Hampshire couple found buried at a beach in the state.
Adam Curtis Williams, 33, is wanted for felony theft charges in Kleberg County after cops tracked down a photo of him and Amanda Noverr crossing the border into Mexico in the New Hampshire couple’s car, police said.
The couple, James Butler and Michelle Butler, were killed and buried in shallow graves on Padre Island, near Corpus Christi, authorities said.
Police are investigating if Williams and Noverr had contact with the slain couple before taking the car, authorities said.
Investigators are working with Mexican authorities to track down the pair.
